Sai School of Interior Design
Also affiliated with the University of Rajasthan, SSID immerses itself in providing education opportunities to students interesting in fashion and interior design. As far as designing goes, the school offers an extensive design training institute established by architect Ramesh Khilani more than a decade ago. The focus of its course programs are directed towards theory modules, as well as workshops and case studies for the purpose of applying said theories.
Nirmala Niketan
This all-girls school offer education to young Indian women with the aim of accommodating them to the slow changes – both social and fundamental – taking place in India. The interior design program is hosted by the College of Home Science, an institution that has ties with the University of Mumbai. Founded in 1988 by the Ujwal Trust with the purpose of maximizing the creative potential of students for arts and design, the school has developed an experimenting and thinking environment thanks in part to their exceptional faculty oriented towards liberal arts. Normally, students can pursue a 2-year specialization course for Interior Design. However, they can choose from a one-year certificate, 2-year Professional Diploma, or an Advance 3-year Diploma for taking up an Interdisciplinary Design program.
