The curriculum of Interior Design courses varies slightly from school to school. You will find there are significant differences in the Interior Design programs offered in different countries. This doesn’t mean you can’t study Interior Design in one country and then later work in another. It simply means there may be new concepts and practices you need to brush up on and incorporate to be successful.  To help ensure you get the proper training you need though it is encouraged that you try to study Interior Design in the country where you will be working. This is because the codes and regulations may be extremely different in other countries. You don’t want to complete your education in Interior Design only to discover you will now need to take more courses to be certified in the other country. However, sometimes you will find studying Interior Design abroad in addition to learning about it in your own country can enrich your own skills. You can bring the beauty of unique Interior Designing concepts to the people of your country. Many people are looking for something very different than what everyone else has. This can be a key element in the success of your own Interior Design business. If you are going to learn Interior Design in another country take the time to find out the differences in the programs if there is a good chance you will one day pursue a career in another country. This way you can pick up additional courses to cover those topics along the way. The best part of studying Interior Design is that many of the basic fundamentals are the same regardless of which country you learn them in. Make sure you get the most from your education though. |
